Wall cracks are unsightly and troublesome imperfections in the exteriors of buildings. They are characterized by fissures which can vary in size and shape, which may result in the weakening of the wall. These problems can lead to a greater chance of severe damage during a hurricane, or a stronger possibility of flooding during heavy storms. Many times, wall cracks are simply due to the old age of the building. Residences constructed 60 years ago are prone to have structural flaws develop, due to the harsh tropical environment and unstable fill.
What we do:
For wall cracks, Robbins Gunite examines the troubled area for fissures. It is then determined if these cracks had been brought about by settlement or deteriorated concrete in structural members. These conditions will then be corrected by stabilizing of soils in the case of settlement, or concrete restoration using gunite for structural members. This will restore the structure back to its original structural integrity.
The Finished Product:
Once Robbins Gunite repairs and renews the exterior, the building returns to its original appearance. While we cannot turn back the clock, our work can help a shabby exterior return to its former glory.
